iPhone Photography Tips and Tricks How to Take Great Pictures with Your iPhone Camera and Apps edition by Steven Keller Arts Photography eBooks Reviews
Can't complain too much about a free app, but this is written to iOS6. It recommends popular apps to extend iPhone photography capabilities which is good. But the intro section has steps that have changed with iOS7 so not as useful.
I'm sure lots of people are using their iPhones as cameras, and this little ebook will give them ways to enhance, play with and just have fun with their photos before they send them off to friends. I'm pretty new to using my IPhone as a camera, so welcomed the list of apps, along with clear descriptions of each one. I know I'll be doing more with it, now that I've a better grasp of just what it can do. Don't you just love technology!
If you fancy yourself an iPhone camera expert (or even advanced hobbyist), then this book is not worth it. Most of it is basic. There were only a few nuggets of value to me.
However, if you're from the planet Rigel 7 and are new to using an iPhone, then this would be a very useful guide as it does give all the ins and outs of how to operate the phone.
If you are a wolf, it won't taste good. It's not gamey like rabbit. Plus it's not an animal.
A must have for any goat who normally eats tin cans.
This includes some but not all the features of current iPhones and iPads and some of the gestures for features have changed. I believe it was written for iOS 5 and no later than an iPhone 5. A yearly update would be nice as Apple seems to update their operating system at least that often.
There wasn't much for me here but someone new to iPhone and photography may find a few helpful bits of info. Be forewarned the book promotes a lot of paid apps. Definitely a turn off for me. If you can get past that, you may enjoy this guide.
Over 60, my SLR too heavy to pack for hours while chasing triathletes for "that picture," I began to check out the artful possibilities of the iPhone. Had I taken a class in iPhoneography, I would not have learned everything packed into this afternoon's "read and play" session. I had no idea the standard iPhone camera was such a feature filled tool, nor how to weave through the maze of camera, editing and sharing apps. I hadn't even figured out how to hold the camera. I haven't been this excited about the possibilities of photography since I got my first Brownie Kodak. I am ready for a new career. For me, this book was worth at least 10 times what I paid for it.
I bought this book hoping it would visually, along with the prose, demonstrate the use of the iPhone camera. Unfortunately, there are no photos to illustrate the text. I'd think a book on photography would use photos to show the power of photos as a communication enhancement.
Contents of the book discuss use and characteristics of apps found on the iPhone. Discussions are more descriptions rather than tutorial....hoped for more photo examples to demonstrate app capabilities.
